Maleeka Robinson

Play Therapist

Maleeka Robinson received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, Florida; and her Bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Maleeka has a wealth of experience working with at-risk children and their families. During her career, Maleeka has worked with individuals and group therapies, developing her eclectic therapeutic approach to play therapy, where she has an intuitive understanding and passion for its efficacy. 

Maleeka has a well-founded sense of her own resilience and self-awareness, combined with a genuine love and respect for children. She uses her strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist both children and their families, with a particular emphasis on supporting children who have suffered abuse, trauma, attachment problems and loss.  

Maleeka's creative and imaginative approach is central to her successful group intervention practice where play therapy has been found to be valuable for children on the autistic spectrum and those with other physical/developmental disabilities.
