Melissa Yerbury
Registered Practitioner Psychologist
Melissa Yerbury is an Australian psychologist registered in Bermuda, the United Kingdom and Australia. Melissa works primarily in the Child and Adolescent Program, supporting young people experiencing emotional and behavioural issues. She also has particular strengths in neuropsychological assessment, having previously run her own clinic assessing neurodivergence and learning delays in Australia. In her therapy work, Melissa utilises an integrative approach, with her primary modalities including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR).
Melissa has extensive experience in educational settings, first as a classroom teacher for many years in both public and private settings, and then more recently as a school psychologist supporting students with mental health challenges and developmental and learning needs. Having a significant background in dance, her special interests include somatic-based therapies such as dance, movement, and yoga for working with young people who have experienced trauma.
Melissa has diverse cross-cultural experience, having lived in Australia, Asia, and Europe prior to Bermuda. Her interests outside of her work include studying languages, dance, yoga and learning to play the guitar.
