Richard is a dedicated therapist at Solstice, holding a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Movement Science with a concentration in Physical Education. For the past 17 years, Richard has been a committed Physical Education teacher in the Bermuda Public School System (BPSU) at Somerset Primary School. His love for teaching and desire to make a broader impact has led him to the field of counseling.
In addition to joining Solstice, Richard has recently been appointed as a school counselor at Dellwood Middle School in the BPSU. His transition into counseling is driven by a passion for mental health and a commitment to helping individuals of all ages achieve their personal goals.
Richard is dedicated to creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. He employs a range of evidence-based techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges with compassion and effectiveness.
As a Professional Member of the Bermuda Counselors Association (BCA), Richard is passionate about helping clients achieve a balanced and fulfilling life through thoughtful and personalized care. He looks forward to making a positive difference in the lives of those he serves at Solstice.
