Topaz Webson's profound dedication to education and mental health reflects a rich and diverse professional journey. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from King's College London, where her research focused on bilingualism in neurodiverse children. This academic pursuit ignited her passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind, leading her to earn an MSc in Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London.
With over a decade of experience as an educator, Topaz has worked in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and the UK. These international experiences have provided her with a unique perspective on cultural diversity and the importance of tailored educational approaches.
In 2023, Topaz transitioned to a career in mental health, driven by a desire to make a deeper impact. Since October of that year, she has been working remotely with an international mental health charity, offering counseling services to individuals in low and middle-income countries where mental health resources are limited. Her work spans a diverse range of populations, addressing the mental health needs of people across the lifespan.
Topaz is a member of the British Psychological Society and the Bermuda Counsellors Association, continually seeking to expand her knowledge and skills to better serve her clients. Her commitment to mental health and well-being, combined with her extensive educational background, makes her a compassionate and knowledgeable counselor dedicated to supporting individuals on their mental health journeys.
Topaz offers counseling sessions in Brazilian, Portuguese, and English. She also offers specialized CBIT sessions, a program to help people with sleep hygiene and better sleep.
